Colsen’s technology named as BAT (Best Available Technique)!

The new Reference Document on Best Available Techniques (BREF) for food and dairy was published on December 4, 2019. The ANPHOS® from Colsen has been cited as the Best Available Technique for recovering phosphate from waste water steams.

The ANPHOS® technology can be used in both the industrial and the communal sector; the phosphorus recovery is in fact used, in the form of controlled struvite formation, in the main stream (industry) or in a side stream such as the filtrate from a digestate dewatering (WWTP).

Colsen's latest technology, U-PHOS®, can also be used for phosphate removal. This continuous system is applicable to heavily polluted (food) industrial water and produces large and pure phosphate pellets with limited chemical consumption.
